This is in part due to the wonderful people we get to serve but also to the wonderful staff at our kennels. Canis Magnus Kennels, www.cmkga.com, is a small family operation in Northeast Georgia with some of the country's best Vizslas raised in a family environment. The owner/operator is Dr. Clyde Wylie. Dr. Wylie has a doctorate in science education and taught 30 years of public high school and over 20 years of college science. He retired in 2016 and running the kennels is his focus. With his science background and lifetime experiences, having grown up on a farm, the pups of all ages get great care and attention. Our puppies are raised in a comfortable, social environment and we go above and beyond with proper nutritional and medical treatment. We have a roomy kennel with plenty of space and opportunity to exercise and run. so

The Vizslas are relatively new for us. We have owned German Shorthaired pointers for over 25 years starting with a rescue GSP and fell in love with the breed. We started the kennels around 2006 as a way for my daughters to see and feel the responsibility of raising puppies. We had a very positive response from people and our reputation began. As we developed the GSP lines we kept hearing about the Hungarian Vizslas. We decided in 2015 that we would get a quality male and two quality females and start off slow. As with the GSPs we try to maintain a 2 year plan with animal mental and physical health at the forefront of the plan. It was a gradual and well thought out development of the kennels. The kennels really bloomed into a premier business when Dr. Wylie realized he would retire and raise quality GSPs, Vizslas, Bloodhounds and Braccos. Our latest ventures have connected us with some of the top breeders in the world. In 2019 we imported the very best bloodlines from European, Asian, and Russian pedigrees. Again in 2021 we have done the same. Our Braccos or Italian Pointers show great promise to complete the "Great Dog" tradition we have established. Be looking for more on those guys soon.

We have just added our newest additions and the quality of our dogs and our facilities is improving every year. We have looked all over the world to bring in pups with specific qualities that start with their hunting pedigrees. We raise our pups to adults in a loving and caring environment with plenty of space to run, play, explore, and socialize. This approach has allowed us to produce some of the top hunting dogs and pets in the country. Our biggest compliments are from return customers who are buying their second or third dog from us and from our veterinarians who will vouch for the quality of our dogs and our kennels. The quality in our facility and our care shows in very high quality in our dogs.

This lucky guy gets to go live on the coast with a couple of young bird hunters. He will be “living the life” in a great environment, doing what he is bred to do, with a great family. Thank you guys for driving up and letting this little guy pick you!

Stop in and see this beautiful girl below the next time you are near Beaufort, South Carolina. She resides at The City Loft Hotel. It is a very nice place to stay in historic and lovely Beaufort.
